Over the past decade, Prodigy Dance Company has excelled in the competitive dance circuit. Prodigy Dance Co. has been a national champion in Showstopper, Move, Spotlight, and Thunderstruck National Talent Competition. Our dancers achieved excellence by winning first place in solo and group categories!
Prodigy Competition Approach
Our vision is to contribute to every students individual growth, both in and outside of the studio. In order for our dancers to maintain a well respected and recognized reputation in the dance community, we find it of utmost importance to stress attention to detail, skill, technique and exploring a wide variety of dance styles. In order to uphold our level of expectations, we find it necessary to grant your dancers every opportunity to grow and excel in their dance education here at Prodigy. We encourage our dancers to achieve their fullest potential and to develop into well-rounded artists and performers.
The competition team at Prodigy Dance Company provides superior performance opportunities. At regional and national competitions, the dancers compete against other talented dancers and perform in front of judges, who offer constructive criticism to better the dancers’ technique. These performance opportunities encourage exceptional dance technique, develop confidence, increase self-esteem, and give dancers an amazing sense of accomplishment.
The PDC competition program provides routines in tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theater for soloists, duets, trios, small group lines, large group lines, and productions. Being a member of our competition team requires a committed individual with a positive attitude.
